Ah, ballet, the most sophisticated of all dances.  Graceful dancers, moving in precise unison, creating works of beauty that remain some of the most incredible art humanity has ever produced—that’s ballet.  If you love performing and precision, then this is the dance for you.

Nothing lays a solid foundation for other types of dance quite like a program of classical study does.  Ballet is danced for fun and enjoyment by all sorts of people—not just professionals.  If you want to learn more about your body and this rich art form, check out one of our free classes.

Tap FAQ

Ballet is a demanding art form and one of the more difficult types of dance in the world. Studying ballet gives you strength, flexibility, and control over your body that you can then put to use in mastering other forms of dance.  It’s a very disciplined course of study and will keep you in excellent physical condition.

People are often surprised to learn that you can start ballet as an adult.  The usual line of thinking is that if you aren’t dancing by age 5, you’re out of luck . . . but this is wrong!  No, you’re not going to become a professional dancer if you start as an adult, but that doesn’t mean you can’t reap all of the other benefits of classical dance training.

With proper technique, a smart training plan, and by listening to your body you can avoid injury.  We always strive to build up your body instead of breaking it down here at State Of The Arts.
